Confirm the computer is powered on, connected to the internet, and that the Computer Care agent service is running. Allow a few minutes for the next heartbeat.
Verify that the customer entered the correct setup key and that the purchase still has available device capacity. Do not reuse a key on an unauthorized computer.
Keep the old device inactive while the replacement computer completes registration. Confirm the replacement link before removing historical device records.

Password storage is now backend-based. The admin password is saved as a hash in
/app/admin_data/admin_auth.json, not as plain text.
